If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan obtained from your General Practitioner, you are eligible to receive a medicare rebate of $137.05 for 6-10 sessions per calendar year.
What is a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)?
It is a treatment plan for people with mental health difficulties created by your GP that outlines your health care needs and the goals for your treatment.
How do I get a MHCP?
To get a MHCP, you will need to schedule an appointment with your GP.
What do the medicare rebates apply to?
Please note that the rebate only applies to individual sessions.
Important:
Please remember to bring your medicare card and have sent a copy of your MHCP to info@northsidewomenswellbeinghub.com.au prior to your appointment.
A re-referral will be required after the number of sessions on your initial referral have been completed.
You do not need an MHCP to see a psychologist. Alternatively, you may use your private health fund. Please note that the rebate from each health fund will vary depending on your level of coverage. Additionally, some health funds require that their clients have exhausted their medicare funded sessions for the year prior to using their private health rebate. Please check with your health fund provider for further details.
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. What this means is that if you need to change or cancel your appointment, you must arrange to do so within 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. This provides us with enough time to offer your appointment to someone else who may have been waiting.
The following cancellation fees apply:
However, we also understand that sometimes emergencies, ill health, or unexpected circumstances can occur, if this applies, please contact the clinic on 03 7031 7815 or info@northsidewomenswellbeinghub.com.
